Rob Hunt, of the Watershed Committee of the Ozarks, earned a scholarship from the Katy Land Trust and Magnificent Missouri to participate in Paddle Georgia.

The Missouri Stream Team Watershed Coalition is organizing a large, multi-day paddle event for Missouri rivers. The first step was seeing how experts do it at Paddle Georgia, a project of powerhouse nonprofit The Georgia River Network. The Katy Land Trust and Magnificent Missouri sponsored a registration scholarship that went to Rob Hunt, of the Watershed Committee of the Ozarks. He joined MSTWC director Holly Neill at Paddle Georgia and will be integral to bringing the concept home to Missouri.

You can see photos from their seven-day river trip here, and be sure to follow MSTWC on Facebook and Twitter for updates about the event, or sign up for their newsletter here.

This year's Paddle Georgia event was on the Ogechee River.
