Our annual Sweet Corn Sunday festival was a rousing success! Despite having some weather hiccups, folks came out for sweet corn, brats, tram rides, music, and more. As a matter of fact, our 2025 crowd far exceeded our numbers from years previous! We were beyond thrilled to see everyone who showed up.

Thankfully we had a few places to keep dry and grab some treats. Treloar’s storefront tucked the Rowdy Wranglers safely away from the rain, while those in the long line for food were not as lucky. The wait was well worth it. “The brats were perfect! They had that snap when you bite into them that comes from cooking them right, crispy grilled on the outside and moist on the inside,” said a Sweet Corn Sunday-goer.

The rain couldn’t stop the Rowdy Wrangler’s tunes from flowing, even if they did have to move around a bit. It was worth it for the smiles on everyone’s faces as we gathered to celebrate our land and community.

Also at Treloar, we had a tent set up Burkhardt Grove that folks visited for their free copies of our new book, The Katy Trail’s Country Store Corridor!

The addition of the Marthasville Depot was a hit! It was so fun to see pieces of our history and watch the model trains roll on by above our heads.

Over on the Peers Store side, a small crowd took sanctuary in the backroom, listening to local storytellers and enjoying the music of Gloria Attoun & Michael Bauermeister indoors.
Our hearts were full at the sight of everyone who took time out of their day to stop by and celebrate with us. We especially would like to thank all who made this event possible:
