Blooms and Bluegrass

Picture this. The warm breeze of early summer swept across Peers Porch on its way to the 4-acre native prairie just across the street. Visitors tapped their feet overlooking the towering grasses and native wildflowers – all to the sound of local bluegrass purveyed by our artist friends.

This year marked the fifth year of the prairie at Peers Store, a collaboration between Missouri State Parks and Magnificent Missouri. We enjoyed your visits to Peers Store at the the peak – Saturday and Sunday June 20th and 21st and Saturday and Sunday June 27th and 28th.

We had live bluegrass music from 12-3 each day, discussions with Prairie Experts, and the farm country hospitality you have come to know us for. Also, visitors checked out a viewing of Rivertowns in our new theater and grabbed some ice cream from the freezer. It was so good to see you out here!
